CHEBOYGAN, Michigan – Ferret Instruments’ award-winning WorkLite now features an optional retractable reel with a rugged metal mechanism and ABS plastic housing. The WorkLite, backed by an unprecedented 5-year lighting element warranty, can be smashed, run over, and even submerged in water -- and keep shining brightly.
The new reel comes complete with 50-feet of cord, an adjustable ball stop and ceiling or wall mount hardware. A new, sturdy solid-state switch in the hook allows a technician to easily turn the light on and off without removing his work gloves.
“The retractable reel is a big convenience and a safety feature,” says Ferret Instruments Vice President of Marketing, Donald Russell. “If a WorkLite falls it will be fine. But if a technician falls because he tripped on a cord, he could be seriously hurt.”
There’s an AC and a DC version of the WorkLite and three models: the 30-element unit (light output of a 40-watt bulb), a 60-element unit (powerful as an 80-watt bulb) and a 90-element unit (shines like a 120-watt bulb). All AC models are available with reels.
